The figure was designed by Hans Henrik Hansen for Royal Copenhagen in 1919. It was made in several versions, including blanch de chine, oxblood glaze, underglaze and this stoneware variant with celadon glaze on the bush. The deer is unglazed and stands in front of the green bush. The figure is in good condition has a dot on the back and an old repair on one corner of the base.
