The Rainier is the fourth model up in the slightly confusingly named Oyster series of cartridges from Sumiko

So they work wonderfully with our favourite (generally low powered valve) amplification

A new old stock RP8 glass platter, this is identical to the current Planar 8 one (which costs 445) except that instead of the clear middle layer of glass in the sandwich, this one is all dark tinted. This platter has an overall thickness of 22mm for a strong flywheel effect, but please note that due to the thinner top layer it will not retrofit into other Rega (Planar 2 3 etc) decks unless some kind of
